http://funkyjudge.net/videos/J_Geils_Band/1982_24_April_Houston_TX_The_Summit.flvInfo from 1000Dances site: The band is in a very good shape and Wolf voice is clear and powerful. There are no horns on the stage but Magic Dick holds the sax on ‘I Do’. There are some drop-outs on the tape (ie.’I Do’, ‘Musta Got Lost’) and the beginning and the end of the show are cut. The taper is on the right from the stage so the angle is sometimes weird. He’s also a little too far. Some standing guys in the front rows make screen turns black from time to time. It’s a 20+ years old video, so the image is blurry and the color have faded … but it’s a wonderful show. The setlist is quite heavy on the EMI years, so no ‘So Sharp’, ‘Cruisin’ For A love’ or ‘Homework’. More surprising there is no ‘Pack, Fair And Square’. Even more surprising, there is no ‘Give It Me’. Perhaps a song or two are missing at the end, but in fact the show seems complete. ‘Come Back’ version is far better (big bass sound) than the one played during the Pink Pop Festival in 80. ‘Till The Walls Come Tumblin’ Down’ is a great song, well played that night. The very rare tune is ‘River Blindness’, it’s the only live version I know. It’s quite close to the studio album version with a terrific guitar solo. ‘First I Look At The Purse’ lasts about 10 mn with a Peter Wolf sung introduction and a band introduction at its end. The very end of the song is cut.
