January 6th 2011. 1p.m. Nevada, Las Vegas, Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino – The Las Vegas Motorcycle Sale – Motorcycles Auction 18553 – The lot offered is from the 1981 production and is an everyday rider, not having been restored. It remains absolutely original except for a replacement windscreen. The odometer shows just over 5500 miles. The motorcycle underwent a recent service and we are advised that it runs well. The vendor is the second owner. A Massachusetts title shows the first owner to have been Richard D. Salwitz. Salwitz is better knows as the master harmonica player, Magic Dick, of the J. Geils Blues Band, one of the leading groups of the 1970s. Salwitz bought the bike the same year the band dissolved. Sold for US$ 14,040 inc. premium. More Info….

Why does the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hate Boston?
Today the 2012 Hall of Fame nominations came out and once again the J. Geils Band was snubbed — seems the band gets a nomination every other year only to fail to make the cut.
