Bluestime bio from WiKI…. “In 1992, Magic Dick re-united with his old friend and band mate Jay Geils and formed the band Bluestime. Bluestime featured Steve Ramsey on drums, Jerry Miller on guitar, and Roy McCloud on bass. McCloud was later replaced by Michael “Mudcat” Ward, who played with the band for several years before leaving to pursue other interests. Ward was subsequently replaced by bassist John Turner. The band was a fusion of Chicago blues and classic jazz. The band released two records on the Rounder Records label: Bluestime (1994) (iTunes), Little Car Blues (1996) (iTunes)
Bluestime toured heavily up to at least 2002, as both a solo act and as part of B.B. King‘s Bluesfest.
January 6th 2011. 1p.m. Nevada, Las Vegas, Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino – The Las Vegas Motorcycle Sale – Motorcycles Auction 18553 – The lot offered is from the 1981 production and is an everyday rider, not having been restored. It remains absolutely original except for a replacement windscreen. The odometer shows just over 5500 miles. The motorcycle underwent a recent service and we are advised that it runs well. The vendor is the second owner. A Massachusetts title shows the first owner to have been Richard D. Salwitz. Salwitz is better knows as the master harmonica player, Magic Dick, of the J. Geils Blues Band, one of the leading groups of the 1970s. Salwitz bought the bike the same year the band dissolved. Sold for US$ 14,040 inc. premium. More Info….
