Geils Band entertained more than 1,000 costumed revelers at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay’s annual fund-raiser at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on Saturday night. VIPs at the event included longtime big brother Charlie Baker and his wife, Lauren, Highland Capital’s Dan Nova and his wife, Annette, event chairs Joe and Christa Ayoub, former lieutenant governor Kerry Healey, Harrah’s Entertainment boss Gary Loveman, Adage Capital’s Phill Gross, and Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck, who auctioned off a drum set that he had previously bought from Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer. Kramer served as the night’s emcee.

Boston – The legendary J. Geils Band will perform live at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Big Night 11. This event is the organization’s annual winter event with more than 1,000 guests expected to attend. This special evening helps the agency in its continuing effort to serve more children throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

The emcee for the event is Aerosmith’s drummer, Joey Kramer with performances by the J. Geils Band and French Lick. Guests attending Big Night will arrive dressed in costume as their favorite rock star, and will step into a completely transformed Boston Convention and Exhibition Center that will be reminiscent of both a rock star mansion and Boston’s early rock clubs.
