J. Geils bassist Danny Klein joined the Flutie Brothers Band onstage the other night (21st) at the kickoff party for the Doug Flutie Jr. Celebrity Golf Classic, which took place yesterday at Pinehills in Plymouth.

Danny Klein’s Full House will rock the house on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, Massachusetts at 8 p.m.

The well-known nickname “Ace-on-Bass” just came up as a moniker when he started out, earning him the unforgettable title of amazing bass player in the 70s.

Danny says he’s become a little more introspective now that he’s had time away from the constant time traveling on the road in the 70s. And traveling is necessary if you’re going to get your sound out there to a live audience.

Vocals for this band are shared by guitar god and Grammy Award Winner Jon Butcher from the Jon Butcher Axis along with Charlie Farren of the Joe Perry Project and Farrenheit and David Hull who has performed with Aerosmith and Joe Perry Project. The Boston Legends All Stars will also feature Sandy MacDonald from The Commitments, child prodigy Desiree Bassett who has performed with numerous rock icons including Ted Nugent and Sammy Hagar, The Uptown Horns and more. Additional guests are expected to be added soon. Ernie and the Automatics, an all-star band in their own right open.
