Danny Klein, who you may remember as the bassist from the J. Geils Band, has a new project called Full House, which covers the J. Geils Band. Playing the role of J. Geils frontman in this ensemble is Mike Lamm. Playing the role of Danny Klein is Danny Klein. On Saturday, Full House is at the Waltham barbecue joint Jake’s Dixie Roadhouse at 10. Between shows this week in Worcester and Manchester, N.H., Elvis Costello slipped into Boston, dining at Lala Rokh on Beacon Hill with old pal Peter Wolf. (Costello is touring with Bob Dylan.)
Wolf was out and about even more than usual this week. Tuesday, the former J. Geils singer emceed a 25th anniversary party for Leo’s Place, the landmark Harvard Square diner that’s served everyone from Little Steven to our boy Ben Affleck. Owners Richie and Raffi Bezjian were feted by a band led by Duke Levine and a crowd that included Tom Magliozzi of “Car Talk.”

Peter Wolf was amongst 125 guests that arrived at a bash last night to mark the opening of a show of black-and-white photographs taken by Police guitarist Andy Summers.
