Info from 1000Dances site: This is an almost complete show of the J. Geils Band opening for the Rolling Stones during spring and summer 1982. The very end of the show is cut. The band is in a very-good shape. The set-list is very heavy on the last albums with only a few tunes of the ‘Atlantic’ period. As ‘Centerfold’ and ‘Freeze-Frame’ charted very well there, the J. Geils tried to conquer ol’ Europe with their biggest FM hits. For a more than 20 years old audience recording, the sound is quite good except a few pitch problems. It’s seems the Uptown Horns are not there as the ‘Freeze-Frame’ intro is played by Magic Dick alone giving the tune a little harder edge. ‘Come Back’ is a little faster than the studio version and ‘Whammer Jammer’ has an unusual Peter Wolf-Magic Dick ‘Blow’ intro. And even more unusual, Magic Dick goes wrong in the middle on the song. At the end of the tape, about 50% of another ‘Freeze-Frame’ version recorded during another show of the same period can be heard. Best choice for the 1982 tour.
