Peter Wolf Interview With The Noise – ‘Rock Around Boston’

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO PETER by A.J. Wachtel: Understanding the wit and wisdom of Peter Wolf is a long-term and very complicated project. Brimming with energy, very charismatic and always the most interesting person in the room onstage or off—any room, anywhere, anytime.

For decades, Wolf has kept re-inventing himself remaining relevant, and with the recent release of Midnight Souvenirs his legacy continues to reach out to new audiences; it again proves his importance past and present to the international music scene. Check out the gospel according to Peter:

Peter Wolf Wins Album of the Year for “Midnight Souvenirs’’ @ the BMA’s

Source: http://www.bostonherald.com/

As Boston music goes, you can’t get more classic than J. Geils frontman Peter Wolf or fresher than electro-rock kids Dom (think MGMT minus the neon fetish). With this in mind, the Boston Music Awards rewarded the newest of the new and older acts making great contemporary music last night at a Liberty Hotel bash.

Wolf, whom you may remember from a little gig at Fenway Park [map] this past summer, made maybe his best solo disc ever in “Midnight Souvenirs.” The 23rd BMAs took notice and named it Album of the Year.

Local singer-songwriter Dennis Brennan accepted the award on behalf of Wolf, whose song “Tragedy’’ was also nominated as Song of the Year. That honor ultimately went to the Worcester synth-pop outfit — and fellow Artist of the Year nominees — Dom, for their track “Living in America.’’

Rock Legend Peter Wolf! – Interview With SCENE…….

By Melissa D’Agnese — Photographed by Jazz Martin

Melissa: After your solo tour you’re returning to Boston in August for a big show at Fenway Park—you’ll be back playing with J. Geils Band and Aerosmith will play too. Are you excited for this gig?
Pete: Yes, Bruce Springsteen brought me up on stage several times at Fenway Park but this time should be a little different…they used to call us (J. Geils Band) the bad boys of rock and now they call Aerosmith by it. So I look at it like, it’s going to be a show with the baddest boys in rock’n’roll.
