But more importantly, the J. Geils Band released their No.1 best selling album ‘Freeze-Frame’ and No.1 best selling single ‘Centerfold’, on October 26, 1981. It wasn’t till February 1982 that Funky first heard ‘Centerfold’ on the radio when it was released in the UK. THE REST IS HISTORY…………..
Funky’s first J. Geils Band memorabilia: Virgin Rock Yearbook 1983 and a ‘Freeze-Frame’ CD. Funky then realised that he had to buy a CD Walkman to play it on! |
