On Dec. 3rd, join Boston music legends Billy Squier, former members of Boston, Al Kooper, Tom Rush, Livingston Taylor, and many more for a musical benefit to thank all who have helped make possible the new documentary film The American Revolution on the early days of WBCN-FM, Boston’s legendary radio station.
Due to popular demand, the Dec. 3 benefit has been moved from the Paradise Rock Club to the Boston House of Blues, 15 Lansdowne Street, on the same site of the historic Boston Tea Party.
Limited admissions to this incredible night of music and images from the era are still available! Support the completion of the film with a tax-deductible donation of $104 and enjoy this epic night of music along with other KickstartWBCN supporters and WBCN friends and family. We need your help to tell the story of this critical era in American history, and “how a radio station, politics and rock and roll changed everything.” In return you will receive a special thank you in the closing credits of the film and a commemorative concert laminate on the night of the show. Other premium rewards are also available and can be found listed below.
The star-packed line-up will include Billy Squier, Al Kooper, former members of Boston, Tom Rush, Livingston Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, Kate Taylor, “Spider John” Koerner, The Uptown Horns, Danny Klein, Robin Lane, Tosh1, Jon Pousette-Dart, The Fools, members of Duke and the Drivers, Barbara Holliday, members of Barry and the Remains, David Hull, Charlie Farren, Jon Butcher, Willie “Loco” Alexander, and Johnny A with the James Montgomery Band.
Charlie “The Master Blaster” Daniels, the iconic announcer at the Boston Tea Party, will MC the event.
In addition to the performances, you’ll get a first look at clips from the film and from the huge well of archival material that has been shared with us by hundreds of supporters. We will also unveil plans for the permanent archive of the 100,000+ photos, audio and film clips that have been collected.
Please make a donation now, help us complete this landmark documentary production, and join us for this once-in-a-lifetime event! And spread the word to your friends and family and on Facebook and Twitter.
We changed the world one time, we can do it again. Thank you and see you Monday, December 3rd at 7 PM, at the Boston House of Blues.
- Bill, Ariel, Mani, Dan, Barry, James, Lynda, and the KickstartWBCN team.
