Judging by tix available for the Jones Beach show, this cancellation had as much to do with lack of tix sold than Irene. My brother(who lives on LI) checked on the Live Nation site over the past weekend to look for tix for the Jones Beach show, was SHOCKED to find just about every section with available tix unsold. Most of the second sections & back were completely unsold. There were 9th row center available as the best showing.Don’t understand it??

You should have caught them at the Borgata in Atlantic City. Outdoor shows are always iffy because of weather.

Same for the PNC Arts Center.  I think they were just priced way too high.  $125 for mediocre seats, w/fees at PNC, vs. $65 for first 12 rows at the Borgata.  And both Jones and PNC originally had BB King getting top billing.

bummed about the cancellation. J.geils was the first band i ever saw in asbury parks convention hall back in 1972. I was looking forward to seeing them 39 years later.
